Thursday, February 9th, 2023 | Algonquin Regional High School

IMG_1214.jpg

The purpose of this event was to raise awareness about athlete mental health at the high school level and ensure that athletes had the tools and support to deal with mental health issues. The event included guest speaker Dr. Kim O'Brien, a former Harvard hockey player who is now a clinician specifically working with athletes, as well as a student-athlete and coach panel. All athletes at Algonquin Regional High School were encouraged to attend. The event was a success and will likely be repeated annually and possibly in other schools!
